About Clinton "Chip" Wells
Professional Experience
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin and the South Texas College of Law in Houston, Clinton “Chip” Wells decided to dedicate his career to serving Texans and their families through family-related litigation and personal injury representation. His 46-year career includes 30 years practicing law with law partner, John McDowell, working on jury and non-jury cases across the state of Texas. In 2018, Clinton “Chip” Wells was elected as Judge to the 312th Family District Court in Houston, Texas. He was sworn into office on January 1, 2019, and completed his term in 2022.
With personal and professional experience navigating the family court system, Wells intimately understands the issues and emotions involved in these delicate situations. He strives to provide objective and compassionate service to everyone in mediation proceedings. He believes that families are the bedrock of our society and is incredibly passionate about preserving family relationships whenever possible.

RATES & PAYMENT
Payments may be made by cash, credit card, firm check, or PayPal. NO PERSONAL CHECKS will be accepted for services. Credit card number required to hold date & time of services. Once we have confirmed the date & time of services, via email or by phone, a cancellation fee of $250/side will be charged if mediation/arbitration is canceled.

MEDIATION
HALF DAY MEDIATION:
$550/party for 4 hours. Additional hours will be charged $200/party/hour, due when additional services start.
Full DAY MEDIATION:
$1100/party for 8 hours. Additional hours will be charged $200/party/hour, due when additional services start
HALF DAY MEDIATION (credit card or paypal):
$580/party for 8 hours. Additional hours will be charged $210/party/hour, due when additional services start.
FULL DAY MEDIATION (Credit card or paypal):
$1160/party for 8 hours. Additional hours will be charged $210/party/hour, due when additional services start.
ARBITRATION
HALF DAY ARBITRATION:
$700 deposit for review & rendition, PLUS $700/party for 4 hours. Additional hours will be charged $200/party, due when additional services start.
Full DAY ARBITRATION :
$700 deposit due when booking arbitration for review & rendition, PLUS $1400/party for 8 hours. Additional hours will be charged $200/party, due when services start.
HALF DAY ARBITRATION (credit card or paypal):
$735 deposit for review and rendition. Additional hours will be charged at a rate of $210/party/hour, due when services start.
FULL DAY ARBITRATION (credit card or paypal)
$735 deposit due when booking arbitration for review and rendition, PLUS $1565/party for 8 hours. Additional hours will be charged at a rate of $210/party, due when services start.
